2nd | action for Violet City/text

[Action]

[Takuto had started liking living in Violet City. It was a nice place. Not too small or too big. It really had been a good idea to stop here and work for a while. While it did slow down training they wouldn't need to worry too much about money later on.

Right now it was Takuto's day off from his work at the Pokémon Center. This usually meant Pokémon training, but today seemed to be a little different since it was Takuto running around himself.

Why was he running? The answer was pretty clear if you looked ahead of him and saw two Pokémon running away from him. Well, running and jumping, since the other was a Clefairy.]

Come back here!

[Maybe this was a payback from all those times he shook his head at someone who couldn't keep their Pokémon in control.

This has been going for a while and it just gets worse. How, you ask? Both of them seem to be jumping on people so that Takuto has to talk to them. Which is just embarrassing and uncomfortable.]

Not again!

[Clearly this is his greatest pinch in a while.]

[After the situation finally calms down, Takuto sends a text over his gear. He has a question to ask.]

So... Does anyone know why some Pokémon don't evolve when they reach a level they're supposed to evolve in? Totodile evolved just fine, but Lillipup doesn't.

[There's a look of defeat on Takuto's face. No more running, please.

Izumi-Lillipup continues to wag his tail happily.]

Today he's been running around Violet City, bumping into people... and sometimes he just keeps jumping and bothering me. Maybe he knows I'm more of a cat person...

[Winry smiles. No more running, promise. She gives eskimo kisses to the puppy.]

Social puppy, huh? Unless he's just trying to make you train him even more, but I guess this looks more like finding new friends instead of new battles.

You are? You'll love Goldenrod, it's full of cats walking around and waiting to be captured by trainers and breeders. I can't wait to go there with my friends, one of them is a cat person too.

I'd say he's trying to find me new enemies... [Though apart from glares he hasn't really been chased.]

Ah... I think we're headed to Goldenrod eventually anyway. Rumor has it that a lot of singers gather there and all.

Why would he be looking new enemies for you? [Frowning, a lot of it.]

Oh, I don't know about singers, but I know that it might interest them and everyone else since there's a huge department store for everything you'll ever need for anything.

...Or maybe it looks small if you come from a huge city, but ... [she waves it off with a hand.] It's huge for this world.

I'd imagine a lot of people would be more annoyed rather than "Hi let's be friends" when a Pokémon bumps into you.

[Yep, that's the logic.]

Yeah, it sounds like a good place. Though there's nothing wrong with Cherrygrove either, really.

It might depend on the pokemon or the person too. This one's adorable, though I guess people who don't like dogs wouldn't really like this...

[But it's the most adorable little thing! How many of these can Winry have?!

Winry gives a laugh.]

I think they all have their good points here. Personally, since I am a girl from the country side - I can't wait to get to a ranch farm, that's somewhere between Ecruteak and Olivine.

I guess... I know I'd be annoyed if any Pokémon would just randomly hit me while I'm just walking around.

[Even if the Pokémon would be named after Mitsuki, the Clefairy gets a look.]

There's a ranch? Huh, you can really find a lot of different things here.

[One of those who easily get annoyed, huh? She's used to dealing with them.]

Well, I wouldn't want my pokemon to be running around, just because they could run into members of Team Rocket...

[So, she'd be annoyed at them for running away from her, but at least her anger never lasts long.]

There is. It's far away from here, and I've never really been there, but... It's amazing what you can find from this world.

[Staring at the Lillipup. Now, where could she find a puppy like you?]

Yeah, that's a risk too. So no running anymore, okay guys?

[If they won't listen, he'll need to keep them inside their balls.]

I'm always surprised to hear about anything that's here that resembles home.

[The Lillipup will lick Winry's face. Hi!]

Maybe you can ask your friends if their pokemon can keep even more company to these two, so they won't run like this anymore?

[Unless, of course, there'd be even more pokemon running to people.

Winry gives a laugh.]

I guess there's a lot that reminds you of home. Though yeah, it's always surprising when so many things are somewhat non-sense in this world. ...Where did you come from, anyway?

[From some normal world or somewhere that's like an opposite of that. She'll giggle at the face licking.]

Have you ever thought of breeding this?

Maybe. I'll think of a way of keeping them out of trouble.

[Though how does he explain his world...?]

Well, I come from Japan which is in Asia. Most people I've talked to seem to come from there, but then there a lot of those who don't so I'm not sure if I can say "the regular world". [Especially with all the death gods and magic... but let's not get into details.

Breeding him? No, I haven't...

I'm sure you'll find a way once you get to know each other. ...Well, almost sure, since me and one of my pokemon will never find a way to keep him less hyperactive. But that's ... just... the species.

[Look look, her face brightens.]

Maybe not, since there really are all those people from different world and the word regular is... Not so regular here. [Sheepish shrug. Yeah yeah, that didn't make any sense, at all.] Anyhow, I come from a world that doesn't even exist in your regular world, and your regular world doesn't exist in that world. [And she won't explain all the weird stuff from that world either, please and thank you. Also kind of ... careful about giving its name since she knows so much more about it now. Hmmm.]

Sorry, sorry ... I guess I spoke before I even knew what I was saying. So it kind of slipped.

But I don't see these often. I wonder if it's just me or if they just really are a bit - or not just a bit - rare.

[He nods at the talk on the Pokémon and the whole "other worlds" business. He's not really too sure what to say since it's still a bit confusing to him.

Though the subject of breeding is just awkward...]

I haven't seen many of these either... so I guess I could try and breed them. Though I'm not sure if I have any matching Pokémon.

[...Eyes ... Sparkling... Sorry, she's in love with your puppy, so she can't really help it.]

Really~yyyyyyy~? [Is this a good place to say that she owns many pokemon who could breed with it?] As far as I've seen, most dogs come from the same egg group which makes them easy to breed... And there are many other pokemon in that group too since it's the biggest.

W-well I guess that's very complicated explanation for trainers, and this is not something to decide here or now. But I'm glad you'll consider it!

Haha... well, if it's a really rare specie, it would be good to have more around, right? I'm sure Izumi wouldn't mind it either - or would you?

[Izumi just... tilts his head. What are you even talking about?]

Yeah, it would be great seeing more of these around. Never mind that my - ummmmh - posts where I try to sell eggs, egg posts, are going to be full og dogs.

Ah...? Well he's named after [a rival? an acquaintance? the most annoying person Takuto knows?] a friend who's dog-like. He sometimes even plays fetch if someone throws something near him, so.

[Not that he'd know her because they're from different worlds, of course, but you know, she knows her and ... yeah no, hyperactive puppy doesn't remind that woman at all. ... The explanation makes her laugh. At least that certain someone is not dog-like despite his military dog name... Oh well.]

He sounds like an interesting person. Anyway [Winry gives the Lillipup a little kiss before handing him back to Takuto.] I should really get going, work shift and Pokémon training and so called housework calling.

[She's all smiles.] It was nice meeting you two. Maybe we'll see at the same side of the table at work too. And my number is somewhere on your gear if you ever need it for anything. [She pets the Lillipup's head ...awwwwww, so soft, but she can't continue forever.] Izumi, be nice to your kind trainer, okay?

[The Lillipup looks a bit sad on parting with Winry. She seems so nice and he would have wanted to be near her for some time-!

... but he'll lick Takuto's face now that he's here, making Takuto look a bit unamused.]

It was nice meeting you, too. I have some shifts later this week, so there's a chance we'll meet again... [Unless his Pokémon make him run all the way to other cities.] I'll make sure to call you if there'll be any eggs...

[Awwwwww, puppy! Winry would just love to keep you all by herself but she can't...! Such is life.]

Maybe we will. And even if we don't, there's a high chance that we'll meet later in another city.

[aaaaaaaaaaaaa, petting that puppy's soft head once more before she smiles at them both once more.]

[and off she goes, waving at them cheerfully while they can still see her. Lillipup, huh? If she wasn't cheerful as ever before that meeting, she sure is even more cheerful than ever now.]
