[Takuto had started liking living in Violet City. It was a nice place. Not too small or too big. It really had been a good idea to stop here and work for a while. While it did slow down training they wouldn't need to worry too much about money later on.

Right now it was Takuto's day off from his work at the Pokémon Center. This usually meant Pokémon training, but today seemed to be a little different since it was Takuto running around himself.

Why was he running? The answer was pretty clear if you looked ahead of him and saw two Pokémon running away from him. Well, running and jumping, since the other was a Clefairy.]

[Maybe this was a payback from all those times he shook his head at someone who couldn't keep their Pokémon in control.

This has been going for a while and it just gets worse. How, you ask? Both of them seem to be jumping on people so that Takuto has to talk to them. Which is just embarrassing and uncomfortable.]

Not again!

[Clearly this is his greatest pinch in a while.]

[After the situation finally calms down, Takuto sends a text over his gear. He has a question to ask.]

So...
Does anyone know why some Pokémon don't evolve when they reach a level they're supposed to evolve in? Totodile evolved just fine, but Lillipup doesn't.

[ It's been a while since she's seen any of her friends around, so when she heard a familiar voice it sparked her interest. Even though she had only talked to him once, she was excited and ran after him. ]

Um! Are those your Pokemon? [ she'll think for a sec ] T-Takuto?

[Someone was running after him? Takuto wonders if he annoyed someone enough for them to follow him angrily, as he hasn't really had the chance of looking who he's bumped into... which kind of defeats the Pokémons' point.

Though he recognizes the voice and looks behind him then. Still running though.]

Rena? Ah, yeah they are... I'm not sure what's wrong with them today.

When I had my 8east that was waaaaaaaay past the level of it's evolution, and it still wouldn't change, I threatened it.
Told her, if she wanted to stay with me she 8etter 8uck the fuck up and evolve or get lost.
She evolved. End of story. Everyone was happy.

Meanwhile the puppy's trainer runs over... and stops. He won't say anything just yet, because he's exhausted.]

[The pachirisu she held in her arms fidgeted around, and she tried to calm him down with a scratch behind his ears. However, with her attention focused on him, she missed the source of his agitation: a couple of pokemon running amock, jumping all over the place as they rushed through the streets.]

See? There's nothing to-hey!

[And before she knows it, the Clefairy jumps on her, causing her to jerk and lose her grip on the Pachirisu. It jumps out of her arms and onto the ground, and it begins to run after the wayward pokemon]

Miki! Get back here!

[and off she goes, chasing after her own pokemon, ignorant Takuto's presence]

[... oh, great. His Pokémon are causing more and more chaos. He has a lot of apologizing to do after this is over, doesn't he?

Anyway, he's running after his Pokémon as fast as he can as well. He'll turn to look at Utena quickly though.]
